Each night of STS9’s mammoth five night tun at The Tabernacle in Atlanta, GA are being made available for download each day this week. The band logged nearly 100 tracks over the 5 shows with 11+ hours of music to more than 12,000 fans. Each show featured tracks from every corner of the bands catalog, a number of debuts, and exciting twists and turns on a number of fan favorites. Take a listen to this mind-blowing journey that was NEW YEARS 2011!

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Something was missing when STS9 kicked off 5 nights at the legendary Tabernacle in Atlanta, GA with two sets of old school Sector 9 on December 27th.

Computers!

To sum up the night, bassist David Murphy noted when thanking the crowd that “it felt like 1999″ up in The Tabernacle as STS9 began it’s epic New Years Run, which celebrated their 25th show at the famed venue, and set the tone for an amazing week in the A-T-L.

Check out the set-list and download at www.1320Records.com.

2011.12.27 :: The Tabernacle :: Atlanta, GA
SET II: Four Year Puma > Kaya > Open E, …And Some Are Angels, Evasive Maneuvers, Kamuy, Monkey Music, Moon Socket
ENCORE: STS9

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Night two of STS9’s massive five night run at The Tabernacle in Atlanta found a familiar friend present through out the evenings musical offerings, one made by humans belonging to an earlier time. Indeed, STS9’s “Artifact” from 2005 was the theme for the bands 3rd and 4th sets of music of the annual weekend to reflect on the past and say hello to a new day, with thousands of friends and family gathered around enjoying every note as much as the band did. We hope you enjoy this brilliant walk through one of STS9’s most cherished releases.

Night #3 in Atlanta, GA for STS9’s New Years Run at The Tabernacle saw the guys fully dig into stride as they opened up the range of catalog they dug from through out the weekend in a big way. From the opening notes of NIN’s “Closer” to end second set closer “New New 4 U U” being split open and remodeled in the moment, you could feel the energy had hit critical mass and wasn’t going to let up for the remainder of the week. There are so many highlights in this near three hour long show you’d be hard pressed not to be blown away just about every step of the way.

Dig into this one y’all, it’s STS9 hitting the power band.

Coming down the home stretch into 2012 STS9 kept the vibe alive and well in The Tabernacle as they crushed through an inspiring performance December 30th in Atlanta. This was one of those nights the crowd and the band just seemed to feel the flow effortlessly from a variety of tracks with a number of surprises both old and new.

Highlights are everywhere, notably the old school classics like “Frequencies Suite” and “Satori” as well as the stellar debut of “March”, with a touch of just about everything else in between. Yet another night of STS9 covering an incredible amount of material and music ground over the two sets. Grab it!

The final night, and New Years Eve show, of STS9’s five night run at The Tabernacle was the proverbial cherry on top to an amazing week. Night 5 wrapped up everything great about the first four performances and sealed the deal on an incredible week of STS9 music. Debuts, rarities and joyful chaos as the clock struck midnight on 2012 as STS9 fittingly filled The Tabernacle with the sounds of “20-12” and later ended the night with “The Spectacle”, played for the first time since it’s debut year of 2008, and as we move forward together to a new year that will feature STS9’s “The Great Cycle Spectacles”.

Happy New Year everyone! Thank you for all your support over and over again.

We’ll see you in Denver and Chicago!

11.11.11 Activation, Chron4’s debut full length live recording release on 1320. Recorded live at Euphonic Conception’s Re:Creation at Temple SF and featuring the vocals of Chron4’s Audio Angel and MC Manny Vibes, 11.11 marks a new level maturation and sophistication for the Chron4 collective. Serious bass bin business that flows like water and switches styles on a dime, you’ll wanna grab your free copy here.
Plus Chron4’s the Get Lost remixes Vol2 featuring Govinda & Thriftworks. After receiving worldwide recognition from Get Lost Vol1, Chron4 continues with two more remixes that are a blend of crushing beats and street but accessible lyrics, which made the original Get Lost remixes remix dynamite. Whether it’s the intelligent yet gritty Thriftworks remix or the dub-ccentric Govinda remix each track highlights the wide range of abilities of the artists selected for this release.

LAGOS is the music of Radius and LEO123. From Chicago and Mexico City the two producers paths had not crossed until recently. Radius has been making music and performing in Chicago since 2001. His debut full length ‘Neighborhood Suicide’ was released in 2008 on The Secret Life of Sound Label. The album was well received including mentions in the Amoeba Records Blog and also the Chicago Tribune’s local best of list and opened doors to other releases that followed including ‘Scatterbrain Tapes Vol.1′ and ‘Etc.’ albums on the Plustapes (Chicago) and Grittygoat (NYC) labels. With an MPC 1000 and some records the music on these albums manages to touch so many influences. From Jazz, House, and Hip-Hop to outer space, his live performances became an extension of the music, experimenting and often improvising with a record player, a kaoss pad and his beats to create a live electronic experience.

From Mexico City, living in Chicago, LEO123 has been crafting slow Hip-Hop infused electronic sounds into original compositions, remixes and collaborations. As a member of the electronic duo Dark Party and thru his own work, his music has been released by many of the top electronic labels including Ghostly International, Ninja Tune and his current home Old Tacoma Records. From his start in 2005, he was named one of URB Magazines Next 100 artists to watch. His recently released debut solo EP “Ponies” and full length as Dark Party “Lightyears” have been featured and applauded in Pitchfork, XLR8R, Turntable Lab and NPR. As a performer he has been featured at Moog Fest, Avant Mutek, FMEL and SXSW among others, bringing his drum machines and synthesizers along to create a memorable live show for any audience.

Coming together as Lagos the duo experiments with many of their common influences and interests to produce a sound that is expressive and focused. Taking many of their inspirations from 70′s Dub recordings and 80′s house Lagos is a musical collaboration that reflects their individual origins as well as their musical expansion as a musical duo from Chicago, continuing the tradition of great music in one of the world’s greatest cities.
