First Track Off The Forthcoming Release “Champagne and Kittens” KNOWA KNOWONE
The first track off of my forthcoming release “Champagne and Kittens” on 1320 Records and Street Ritual. I made the beats and Abai played the keys. About halfway through, i bounced out parts of the track, dropped them in Serato Scratch Live, scratched them back into the track and then used the new scratched parts to make new parts of the song. Basically some glitch-hop party crush. Enjoy!

‘Champagne and Kittens’
The perfect compliment to the two best things ever is this new album by Oakland based glitch-hop producer Knowa Knowone. Furry, fizzy and bubbly, with cute little sharp teeth, you might get drunk, bitten, scratched. This album is a tribute to hyphy hedonism and booty shaking psychedelic crunk, in the always original style of the west coast’s most innovative producer.

2. Double Rainbow feat. Chris B
3. East Oakland Bounce

LAGOS (RADIUS & LEO123) Out Now on 1320 Records
LAGOS is the music of Radius and LEO123. From Chicago and Mexico City the two producers paths had not crossed until recently. Radius has been making music and performing in Chicago since 2001. His debut full length ‘Neighborhood Suicide’ was released in 2008 on The Secret Life of Sound Label. The album was well received including mentions in the Amoeba Records Blog and also the Chicago Tribune’s local best of list and opened doors to other releases that followed including ‘Scatterbrain Tapes Vol.1′ and ‘Etc.’ albums on the Plustapes (Chicago) and Grittygoat (NYC) labels. With an MPC 1000 and some records the music on these albums manages to touch so many influences. From Jazz, House, and Hip-Hop to outer space, his live performances became an extension of the music, experimenting and often improvising with a record player, a kaoss pad and his beats to create a live electronic experience.
From Mexico City, living in Chicago, LEO123 has been crafting slow Hip-Hop infused electronic sounds into original compositions, remixes and collaborations. As a member of the electronic duo Dark Party and thru his own work, his music has been released by many of the top electronic labels including Ghostly International, Ninja Tune and his current home Old Tacoma Records. From his start in 2005, he was named one of URB Magazines Next 100 artists to watch. His recently released debut solo EP “Ponies” and full length as Dark Party “Lightyears” have been featured and applauded in Pitchfork, XLR8R, Turntable Lab and NPR. As a performer he has been featured at Moog Fest, Avant Mutek, FMEL and SXSW among others, bringing his drum machines and synthesizers along to create a memorable live show for any audience.
Coming together as Lagos the duo experiments with many of their common influences and interests to produce a sound that is expressive and focused. Taking many of their inspirations from 70′s Dub recordings and 80′s house Lagos is a musical collaboration that reflects their individual origins as well as their musical expansion as a musical duo from Chicago, continuing the tradition of great music in one of the world’s greatest cities.
