First Track Off The Forthcoming Release “Champagne and Kittens” KNOWA KNOWONE

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 12:50 pm

knowaknowone-champagne-sleepycat_cut

The first track off of my forthcoming release “Champagne and Kittens” on 1320 Records and Street Ritual. I made the beats and Abai played the keys. About halfway through, i bounced out parts of the track, dropped them in Serato Scratch Live, scratched them back into the track and then used the new scratched parts to make new parts of the song. Basically some glitch-hop party crush. Enjoy!

The perfect compliment to the two best things ever is this new album by Oakland based glitch-hop producer Knowa Knowone. Furry, fizzy and bubbly, with cute little sharp teeth, you might get drunk, bitten, scratched. This album is a tribute to hyphy hedonism and booty shaking psychedelic crunk, in the always original style of the west coast’s most innovative producer.

2. Double Rainbow feat. Chris B
3. East Oakland Bounce
4. Calle Cartel
5. That Propa feat. Suntonio Bandanaz

Indeed, STS9’s “Artifact” from 2005 was the theme for the bands 3rd and 4th sets of music of the annual weekend to reflect on the past and say hello to a new day, with thousands of friends and family gathered around enjoying every note as much as the band did. There are so many highlights in this near three hour long show you’d be hard pressed not to be blown away just about every step of the way.

Highlights are everywhere, notably the old school classics like “Frequencies Suite” and “Satori” as well as the stellar debut of “March”, with a touch of just about everything else in between. Night 5 wrapped up everything great about the first four performances and sealed the deal on an incredible week of STS9 music. Debuts, rarities and joyful chaos as the clock struck midnight on 2012 as STS9 fittingly filled The Tabernacle with the sounds of “20-12” and later ended the night with “The Spectacle”, played for the first time since it’s debut year of 2008, and as we move forward together to a new year that will feature STS9’s “The Great Cycle Spectacles”.
